Sliding Window Challenge Process for Congestion Detection

چکیده
Many prominent smart contract applications such as payment channels, auctions, and voting systems often involve a mechanism in which some party must respond to challenge or appeal action within fixed time limit. This pattern of challenge-response mechanisms poses great risks if, during periods high transaction volume, the network becomes congested. In this case, fee market competition can prevent inclusion response blocks, causing harm. As result, responders are allowed long submit their overpay fees. To overcome these problems improve protocols, we suggest secure that detects congestion blocks adjusts deadline accordingly. The responder is thus guaranteed extension should arise. We lay theoretical foundations for signals blockchains then proceed analyze discuss possible attacks on evaluate its robustness. Our results show Ethereum, using short deadlines low 3 h, protocol has >99% defense rate from even by miners with up $$33\%$$ computational power. Using shorter one hour also similar attackers $$27\%$$

3D-Guided Multiscale Sliding Window for Pedestrian Detection
The most relevant modules of a pedestrian detector are the candidate generation and the candidate classification. The former aims at presenting image windows to the latter so that they are classified as containing a pedestrian or not. Much attention has being paid to the classification module, while candidate generation has mainly relied on (multiscale) sliding window pyramid. However, candidat...
متن کاملA Study of Filtering Approaches for Sliding Window Pedestrian Detection
To finding pedestrian in images, a common technique employed is to sample the image densely via sliding window, generating a large number of detection windows which are presented to a classifier. This approach requires a high computational cost once several windows are generated. There are several solutions aiming at reducing the computational cost, but they still are unable to handle large amo...
متن کاملSliding Window-based Probabilistic Change Detection for Remote-sensed Images
A recent probabilistic change detection algorithm provides a way for assessing changes on remotesensed images which is more robust to geometric and atmospheric errors than existing pixel-based methods. However, its grid (patch)-based change detection results in coarse-resolution change maps and often discretizes continuous changes that occur across grid boundaries. In this study, we propose a s...
متن کاملAn improved sliding window method for shot change detection
The conventional sliding window (CSW) method has long been used in video segmentation for its adaptive thresholding technique. A hard cut is detected based on the ratio between the current feature value and its local neighborhood in the sliding window. Yet it has a relatively high rate of false alarm and missed cuts. This paper proposes an improved sliding window method which employs multi adap...
متن کاملFDiBC: A Novel Fraud Detection Method in Bank Club based on Sliding Time and Scores Window
One of the recent strategies for increasing the customer’s loyalty in banking industry is the use of customers’ club system. In this system, customers receive scores on the basis of financial and club activities they are performing, and due to the achieved points, they get credits from the bank. In addition, by the advent of new technologies, fraud is growing in banking domain as well. Therefor...
